GTA: Online Freemode Events Trailer (Sept 15th)

Rockstar is set to launch a new free DLC for next-gen and PC players of GTA: V Online. This September 15th update brings a new style of play in the form of freemode events that pop up randomly throughout LS.  I’m hoping that this is the start of being able to rob the smaller banks that are all over the place similar to how you would rob a corner store.

Here’s what Rockstar had to say: “One of these events can kick off at any given moment while in Freemode, and you can customize your session to decide exactly which ones will happen – so you can play as much or as little of this new content as you like. With countless variations on each Freemode Event, there are tons of unique new experiences, each offering new opportunities for reaping GTA$ and RP in GTA Online. ”

Some of the events that are shown in the trailer look kind of interesting, like ‘King of the castle’ for instance. But I can imagine that a lot of the freemode events will go unplayed unless there are massive payouts. Personally, I would have preferred to see some kind of single player DLC, or possibly another multiplayer heist or two.

The update doesn’t bring any new content in the form of cars or guns, and will only release to next-gen and PC players, Xbox 360 and PS3 people get the shaft due to “memory issues” on the older gen.

What do you think? Will you be logging back into GTA: Online when the new DLC releases? Let us know in the comment section!

The first game I ever played on PC was Ultima Online way back in 1999, since then I've been hooked on PC gaming and putting together awesome builds! Thanks for stopping by!
