EKSA reached out to me and sent both an EKSA E910 5.8GHz Wireless Headset and GT1 Wireless Headphones (which review you can check out HERE) to test out. Thank you EKSA!

This headset comes out at around $89.99 USD, so this might not be the best option if you want a less expensive headset.  This headset has a 5.8GHz USB-A wireless connection, with 7.1 surrounding sound, and 50mm Drivers.  (For an overview of drivers and how they work check out this useful video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvlCOa7Kz8k ) This headset is wire free, all you need to do, is plug in the USB dongle and go ahead and play! It would have been nice if EKSA had added Bluetooth to this headset too, so that you had a second way to connect to a device, because if you lost your USB dongle, this headset would not be able to connect to anything. EKSA did say that they would be packaging a second dongle just in case you lost your first one. This headset specs claim a 15m (49ft) wireless range, 10+ hours of battery life, and low latency which is about 15ms.  This headset is compatible with PC, Laptop, Tablet, PlayStation 4, and 5, Nintendo Switch, TV, and Projector. Included in the box, there is the headset itself, in a leather draw string bag, a USB dongle, 3.5mm audio cable, USB-C charging cable, a user manual, in 4 different languages, and a nice headphone stand.

Design

I personally really like this headset design. On the left side of the headset, there is a retractable mic volume wheel, mute button, power button, and a USB-C charging port. This headset comes with a retractable unidirectional ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) mic, and a omnidirectional ENC mic built in to the headset its self. The retractable mic come in handy when you not using it, you can just push it back into the headset, and it is out of the way! This headset come with leatherette and memory foam, on the headband, and around the earpads, which makes the headset nice and comfortable when you have it on. This headset has an adjustable headband, so that this headset can fit a wide range of head sizes. The headset come in at a weight of 304g (10.7oz) which is slightly on the heavier side of a $100 headset. If I was to be a little pickier, I am somewhat disappointed that this headset does not have an optional Bluetooth connection, because if you lose the little USB dongle, there is no other way to connect this headset to your computer.

EKSA responded to my concerns that they would be including a second dongle with the product. Sweet!

Performance

This over ear 5.8 GHz wireless headset not only provides great listening quality, but also 10+ hours of use, and good mic quality. This headset come with a latency under 15ms which provides a smooth gaming sound experience. The headsets’ 50mm drivers provides full realistic sound, and lots of bass! The mic works when it is retracted or fully extended, and the overall quality of the mic is pretty good in both positions.

Conclusion

Overall, this headset is a great for music and gaming! It is very comfortable, and the sound and mic quality are great! I really like the retractable mic, because it is useful if you’re listening to music and just want it out of the way.

If you’re looking for a headset around $89.99 give this one a solid look. I highly recommend it. I hoped you found this review helpful, and if you have any questions, comment below and we would be happy to answer any question you have.
