The most recent DLC for GTA: Online dubbed “Executives and Other Criminals” brings a whole bunch of new features to Los Santos, most of them are pretty awesome – but some might need a little refining.
For starters, the Executive and Other Criminals DLC adds the most new content in a single DLC pack to hit GTA: Online yet. With a total of 3 new boats including the new super yacht, 10 new cars including an armored limo with a mounted minigun, the ability to put armor on 6 cars aside from the Kuruma, 2 new helicopters (it’s actually 1 with 2 variants) and 2 new weapons with exclusive VIP / Bodyguard finishes. There was also some new clothing added, some new items at the barbershop, and a few new tattoos. That’s not even everything, and it’s already A LOT of new content!
The primary focus of this DLC is to give players the ability to form their own criminal organizations and to wage war against other organizations for money & RP. There are 2 ways you can do this, either by having $10,000,000 in your bank account and becoming a VIP yourself, starting your own organization and hiring bodyguards. Or, you can work for SecuroServ as a Bodyguard for a VIP who is hiring.
There is a whole bunch of new content revolving just around VIPs and Bodyguards, so that is definitely something you’re going to want to check out. Even if you don’t have the $10,000,000 in your bank account to qualify for VIP status, being a Bodyguard can be almost as fun, or maybe even more fun! To be a Bodyguard, all you have to do is open the Interaction Menu (“M” or hold “back” by default), scroll to “SecuroServ” and toggle the second option to “Enabled”.
Along side all of the new cars, weapons and everything else, Rockstar also gave us 10 new houses to own in the Vinewood Hills, 3 new customizable apartments, and we can now own a total of 5 properties (up to 50 cars!!!). Some of these new properties are pretty impressive, and they all come with 10-car garages. I honestly haven’t had a chance to buy one yet, but I will soon!
One thing that I think needs some refining is the new Heavy Revolver, and I feel that it’s really underpowered for how slow it shoots, or it shoots too slow for how underpowered it is, either way, it needs a boost somewhere. It takes an average of 3 shots to kill someone with this beast, but it shoots about as fast as a Napoleonic Era artillery piece and with about the same level of accuracy. This makes it relatively useless, and the .50 Pistol is significantly more effective if you want to play with hand cannons – even the Marksman Pistol can be better. That said, I am glad to see GTA: V finally getting a revolver, even if it is complete junk.
All-in-all, the Executives and Other Criminals DLC for GTA: Online brings boatloads of new content, possibly even a yacht full! The new criminal organization feature, including being a VIP and a Bodyguard is definitely worth trying out, and the new cars, weapons, and everything else is just as worthy. Just be ready with about $10,000,000 in the bank if you plan on buying the best yacht with all of the best customization options.
