All good things must come to and end, and this is the final Metal Gear Solid trailer we’ll ever get from Hideo Kojima & Konami. After two decades of making one of possibly the most captivating series of games, Kojima is done with the Metal Gear series. But, not without one last hurrah in the form of what should be the most amazing MGS game to date, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.

This trailer takes us through the time-line of the Metal Gear Solid games, and wow, does it bring back memories or what? Out of all the games I’ve played, the MGS series has to be one of the most memorable, it was also one of the first games I ever really played start to finish.

All nostalgia aside, I’m sure we’ve all preordered our copies of The Phantom Pain, and I don’t doubt that you’re excited as I am for it’s September 1st release. With that said, this trailer poses one major question to me… Who is snake Skullface? Right around 2:55 mark they show a burned Big Boss transition into Skullface.. But Big Boss couldn’t be Skullface.. Could he?

In any event, I can’t wait for the release of The Phantom Pain and I’m pretty sure it’s going to be another amazing game by Hideo Kojima & Konami. If you’ve never tried any of the Metal Gear Solid games, this might be the one to get you into the series.
