If you haven’t heard of Star Citizen yet, first, ask you which rock you’ve been living under, and second, introduce you to one of the most ambitious/amazing(looking) games ever attempted. It’s almost entirely crowdfunded and has a budget to rival some of the biggest production games.
In Star Citizen, you take control of your character, and proceed to explore, trade, work, kill and generally live in the absolutely massive galaxy that is Star Citizen. There are no levels, and there are no pre-defined classes. In-game currency is how you measure your personal success in Star Citizen. There will be fully-populated worlds, uncharted worlds, and generally anything you would expect to find during a trip through space.
Their unique cargo system, in my opinion, is one of the coolest features they could have implemented, but I’ll leave that for another post.
It’s still a ways away from being launched, but for what they have right now, it looks absolutely incredible.
