If the operating system you currently use with your device doesn't allow for you to split your windows onto different parts of the screen you will likely be pleased to know that this monitor comes with its own ScreenSplit software built-in and can be controlled directly from the monitor. This will allow you to use your massive screen to view multiple applications, windows, or documents at the same time and therefore increase your ability to multi-task tremendously.

For added convenience, there is a USB-C hub with 4 ports built into the frame to allow you to connect multiple USB based devices to your system if the ones that are already on your device aren't enough. I usually use these for charging my phone or plugging in my headset and other peripherals of that nature.

The speakers that come integrated with the frame are nothing special when compared to other audio options, but when you compare them to other monitor speakers you realize that they are special in that they actually work. Most monitor speakers are so terrible so as to be not worth using, but that is not the case with these. They work decently and could serve as your primary audio option if you had no other option without trouble. I still prefer more specialized devices for that, but I was impressed that these even worked.

The response time and refresh rate are nothing impressive either, but they are sufficient for gaming, if just barely, at 5 milliseconds and 60 Hz respectively. This means that, whether you’re playing on console or PC, you can play with the unmatched visual clarity and field of view provided by a 40 inch monitor with 4k resolutions as long as your device of choice can support it.

The monitor is not perfect, despite the many great things about it. It has a narrow angle of view which means you may notice some shadows on the sides, top, and bottom of the screen depending on where you sit in relation to the screen. This can be especially inconvenient if these shadows cover important UI elements.

It also only allows for HDMI for connecting to other devices and does not have a DisplayPort connection which can be frustrating for a monitor of this type because DisplayPort is the superior connection type for resolutions this high.

These are all things you will likely end up purchasing separately anyway, except for the nightlight I’m not sure why that is included, which means this bundle is an excellent way to get them all together and save a little money while you do it. I especially like the fact that it comes with a surge protector as they are extremely important and often overlooked.

Having that much screen real estate should mean you can look at before, current, and reference images all at once without having to switch between them.

The monitor is curved which is why it can support a resolution that is higher than the usual standard for 4k. It is wider than your average monitor which means it will fill more space on your desk and leave less space for your accessories, peripherals, and any other things you keep there. This can be incredibly inconvenient, but it may be worth it to you for the extremely large screen.

Unfortunately, this is definitely not designed with gaming in mind. The truly massive 12 millisecond response time is not even close to acceptable for gaming so you’ll need a separate monitor if you plan to be gaming on your PC.

ViewSonic has also included its proprietary Multipicture software for added convenience with this monitor. It allows you to split your screen into 4 sections which can be viewed at the same time.Anyone that works in graphic design or video editing will surely appreciate this monitor for its many comfort features, but gamers should look elsewhere.

It matches the ergonomic design of the ViewSonic option while also providing a similar standard of eye protection design and software for what is currently a cheaper price.

It also has very good support for gaming for its size and resolution. It has a 60 Hz refresh rate and a 4-millisecond response time which is faster than any of the other options so far. It also supports FreeSync technology which means this is the ideal monitor for AMD GPU users that want a large 4k monitor to game on.

It has an 8 millisecond response time which is quite bad for gaming, so gamers should look at another option. That said, a professional that is looking for an upgrade to their setup might be interested in this monitor for its Multi-screen View technology and the especially wide viewing angle.

It has a wide variety of connectivity options, more so than any other monitor on this list which makes the BDM4350UC the most versatile option in that regard.

It comes with a USB 3.0 hub integrated with the frame and a fast-charging option implemented as well. It also has audio ports so that you can easily connect your audio peripherals to your system if the internal speakers don’t do it for you. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the internal speakers are good enough for normal use.
